Students with early bird classes are reminded you need to check in to the office if you are late to your early bird class or miss the class entirely, the same as you would if it was meeting during the regular school day.
Celebrate your freedom to read during Banned Books Week this week. This annual event celebrates the freedom to read and the importance of the first amendment held during the last week of September. Banned Books Week highlights the benefits of free and open access to information. For more information, or to check out a book, stop in the LMC. Think for yourself and let others do the same!
The ROTO Club is selling tiger game blankets, hats, and scarves in the commons this week.
Dalton Grosland see Mr. Heeg in room 26 before leaving today.
There will NOT be a JV tennis match today and there will NOT be practice today.
There will be a senior class officers meeting in room 10 today at 3:00. All representatives are welcome to attend. Senior class will also meet tomorrow at 3:00 in the auditorium.
Tomorrow – FFA members going on tomorrow’s trip to World Dairy Expo are reminded the bus is leaving at 5:30 AM from the student parking lot and will return at 3:30 PM.
Attention student council members – the global committee meeting scheduled for tomorrow is rescheduled for October 5th. See Carly Barker if you have questions.
French Honor Society will meet Tuesday morning at 7:30 in room 47.
French Club homecoming committee will meet after school Tuesday at 3:05 in room 47.
ArtS Club will have an organizational meeting after school tomorrow in room 39.
YSL members should turn in all summer hours by Tuesday to the basket in room 71. Additional forms are available there.
Senior Flash Mob practice is tomorrow at 5:15-6:30 in the north gym.
Final Auditions for the drama production will be Tuesday night at 7:00.
Wednesday - Mock Trial team will have an informational meeting Wednesday at 3:00 in room 23.
Thursday - HOSA will meet Thursday morning at 7:30 in the foods lab. All students wanting to join HOSA must have their membership form and dues in to Mrs. Hunsader in the computer lab by Friday at the latest.
Others - Juniors and sophomores are reminded to sign up for the PSAT test in the guidance office to be given here the morning of October 13th. There are only 150 slots available. The deadline for signing up is October 4th.
NHS inductees are reminded that their club dues need to be paid by the first meeting October 6th.
Volunteers are needed to work at a Special Olympics bowling tournament on October 9th. If you are interested, please see Miss Goettl in room 70 before school through 2nd hour OR leave your name and number in the YSL basket in room 71.
